This is the time during which the girl verifies God’s call, the first long contact with the Congregation. Depending on the circumstances this phase lasts about one to two years during which she can determine if she has been really called by God and if she can adapt to religious life within our Congregation.
This is when the girl has discerned God’s call and finds out if she can lead a holy life following the norms of our Congregation.
This experience lasts at least two years. The novitiate offers the opportunity of reflecting on Christian life through a programme of biblical and theological studies, in unity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
It delves deeper into the very spirit of consecrated life and Franciscan spirituality as well as provides knowledge about our Congregation: its Charism, its very spirit, its history and mission in the Church.
If the Congregation judges that the novice is ready to join the Congregation and likewise the novice wants to proceed, she will be admitted to the Temporary profession.
